Mystichrome And Your Best Friend
/NAMM 2025
Is this the result of letting your white dog stand way too close to your Angel Player with a Mystichrome finish?
There is white hair everywhere.
Do we need to do some vacuuming?
Is that what actually took place with this Angel Player?
Well, no, not really, but this is the effect such an event could have if it were to occur as a hairy, cataclysmic guitar-meets-dog coalition.
So then, what did actually happen to this guitar, for NAMM 2025?
No one knows for sure.
Oh wait…yes, we do know for sure, because we created it.
Last week you got the inside story and a view of the original Mystichrome finish, when we shared it on our stunning NAMM Raven in Guitar Tales.
This week it is an:
Angel Player, specced with an optional Swamp Ash body. The inherent, open, elongated grain of this wood species lending itself to the drama of “dog hair” wood grain enhancement.
So then we thought, why not go full-drama and try the Dog Hair technique with the forever-color-shifting aspects of Mystichrome paint, for a “show-stopping,” ever-changing, NAMM experience?
And that is what really happened.
It happily freaked out everyone who laid eyes upon it.
So then, I guess it is okay to bring your dog to The NAMM Show after all—no vacuum needed.
